Sonoco provides thousands of products and services to consumer and industrial customers worldwide. Sonoco is the global leader in the production of paper-based tubes and cores that are used for winding and transporting such products as textiles, paper, film, foil and tape-- anything that is wound during the manufacturing process; and composite cans, which are containers with paperboard bodies that use a variety of materials as liners, closures and labels. Composite cans are used to package such products as powdered beverages and infant formulas; coffee; snacks; refrigerated dough; frozen juice concentrate; powdered cleansers and a wide range of other products. In addition, Sonoco is a leading manufacturer of consumer and industrial thermoformed plastic packaging, and engineered molded and extruded plastic products. Sonoco also produces flexible printed packaging; point-of-purchase displays; highly engineered protective, temperature-assured and retail security packaging solutions; reels for wire and cable; coasters and glass covers; and other packaging products and services. Sonoco is also a global manufacturer of uncoated recycled paperboard for its fiber-based packaging and divisions and the external converting industry and one of the largest packaging recyclers.

Sonoco’s total solutions capabilities include design, development and testing of leading technology packaging; global graphics management to enhance customers’ brand image; graphics reproduction including laser engraved cylinders to ensure the highest quality packaging graphics reproduction; service centers to provide packing fulfillment, purchasing, inventory control and delivery capabilities; and waste reduction consulting services.
