Allan H. McLeland
Allan McLeland, 51, is Corporate Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for the administration of approximately 20,000 employees and in 33 countries. He has served in this role since 2011.
Prior to his current role, McLeland was Staff Vice President, Human Resources, Industrial 2010-11. Previously, McLeland held progressively more responsible HR leadership roles with the Company in the areas of Organizational Development, Staffing, Employee/Labor Relations and Compensation.
McLeland served in the Army National Guard, including Operation Desert Storm, and has served on numerous boards including the YMCA of the Upper Pee Dee, Florence-Darlington Technical College and Thomas Hart Academy. He is currently a member of Riegel & Emory HR Advisory Board and the Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center Board.
McLeland is an outdoor distance enthusiast/adventurer who competes in triathlons of all distances, white water kayaking, open-water distance swimming and alpine mountain climbing. He became the first man from South Carolina to successfully swim across the English Channel in September of 2008.
McLeland was born in Charlotte, N.C., and holds a B.A. in psychology, 1989, and an M.B.A., 1993, from the University of South Carolina. He is married to Lauri, a native of Cincinnati, and the couple has two boys, Benjamin and Jacob. The McLelands reside in Hartsville, S.C.
