Rhodes Elected Corporate Officer of Sonoco
HARTSVILLE, S.C., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- J.C. Rhodes, division vice president, international operations -- Latin America, Australia and Asia, has been elected a corporate vice president, it was announced today by Peter C. Browning, president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Rhodes joined Sonoco (NYSE: SON) in 1961 and has held a variety of operating responsibilities. He continues to head the company's Latin American and Australian operations, Machinery Manufacturing and Adhesives. In addition, he was recently assigned responsibility for manufacturing and sales operations in Asia.
A native of Hartsville, S.C., he is a 1961 graduate of Clemson University. He and his wife, Ann, reside in Hartsville.
