The West Chicago plant started operations as Boise Cascade in 1975. In 1987 it was acquired by Sonoco. The employee team has worked more a million injury-free work hours (seven-and-a-half plus years). The plant manufacturers composite canisters used to package frozen concentrate, snacks, nuts, powdered food and beverages as well as other non-food stuffs.
